Hello everyone, I just wanted to share the letter we received today from Karen Webster the founder of the charity that organises sending cards and goods out to help the soldiers. (See below) I wanted to thank you all once again for your support , I think its all quite poignant at the moment when so many of our soldiers are loosing their life's out there. We are letting them know we are thinking about them, and hopefully helping them connect with loved ones too.
Our current collections are now for christmas cards, as normal please forward them to my shop address.

On behalf of everyone here at Support Our Soldiers, and the boys and girls serving out in
Afghanistan, I'd like to offer our sincere thanks to Dawn for promoting our appeal for cards on
her Q V C show. We have so far received over one thousand beautifully hand crafted cards,
which we are sending out to Afghanistan, where they will be greatly appreciated by our boys
and girls.
Please do pass our thanks on to everyone who has contributed to this appeal with such love
and care. After all there are no cards shops in Helmand Province.
It's difficult to express thanks sufficiently but we are truly grateful for your support.

Harrods.

Here we are sat in harrods, Jj, Amy and I having cake and coffee as a treat after yesterdays marathon.
It was such a busy day, but great fun.
Thank you all so much for your support and messages. Its much appreciated.
We are all tired and not looking forward to the 4 hour journey home.
Busy few days ahead filming my dvd- no rest for the wicked they say.
We had a bit of fun with Craig yesterday after the later show- hysteria set in ! Thought I would share some pics. Bit grainy but funny.....

Craft day.

We are on the way to london , jam packed in the car with all the kit boxes. Poor Amy is crammed in her seat behind me, I'm packed in with kit boxes at my feet. We normally come in two cars but have managed to squeeze in one. Maybe a tad over loaded , hope no police cars are around us!
We have a very exciting day ahead planned. Full of christmas promise, two very special tsv's that I'm sure you will love.
Antony is with me for launch tonight, I'm sure that will be fun!
While jj's back is much better mine has gone, I've been laid up over the weekend. I think mainly because I have been doing all the lifting instead of jj, and with an old back injury flaring up its been agony. We don't make a good pair between us!! So I won't be moving quite so fast tmrw....
Well I best get on, few more cards to make while driving down.

Motorway blues.....

We are on the long way home after today's show. Such a busy few days, yesterday I had a photo shoot for publicity shots - something special coming your way soon! Then an evening dinner meeting with personal impressions putting lots more kits together for qvc. Off to london to check in our hotel, in qvc for show set up and some filming. Meeting about craftday, meeting about crafts beautiful magazine, and glasgow second show... Yippee! Finally on our way to scotland. Then catch up with Abbie ( craft buyer) to discuss my dvd and lots more goodies. Then an evening meeting with docrafts for even more goodies. 10.15pm and finally on our way home! We are tired and tempted to find a hotel , but started the long journey home.
Jjs first full day back at work and doing well but struggling a little now. Popping painkillers, it has been a long 2 days. Lie in tommorow me thinks, well at least for a little bit. We are so busy at the moment, soon be christmas ( two people said that to me today- frightening) can you believe it? Time goes way too fast, I need 48 hours in a day not 24.
Busy show today, and I thought you would all be waiting for craft day!! What a day we have planned for you, only a week away. So much to do, so little time.
Thanks so much for all your comments on my dvd, I am taking note . Will do my best but can't fit all in , it would go on forever.

2am in the morning...

Yes, I'm writing this at 2am in the morning. I have just finished planning craft day shows and am so relieved. I have even planned the following tuesdays show. I really needed to get organised as I have so much to do right now. Magazine articles, craft day prep, new designs, dvd..... My head has been spinning and I just need to clear bit by bit my workload. So I can now go to bed relieved and hopefully sleep a bit better.
Jj and the babies already tucked up so I will say goodnight,

I need a holiday!

So many people are off on there holidays, I'm so jealous. Really feel like its time for some serious rest and relaxation. Jj is still not very well and I'm so busy with work there is not much chance in the near future!
I was in my shop on saturday and a little bit of today and had quite a few comments from customers saying how much they enjoyed the techniques shows. Its great to get feedback on what you like to see, it always helps in future planning. As I'm just about to make a dvd I'm all ears to what you would like to see more off? I cannot promise off course to cover everything but will certainly take on board what I can in shows coming up.
I do have some great shows coming up over the next few moths including craft day on the 25th, a real christmas extravaganza. I will be there tomorrow don't forget, poor Jj is staying at home and resting. Stephen to the rescue, driving down with me and back in the day. Going to be a long day, I'm going to have an early night in preparation,

Home, safe and sound.

Glad to be home with our babies, they were all very pleased to see us. Paula has looked after them and they her by the sound of things! Also treated us to some green @ blacks chocolate. Me- maya gold my favourite and jj white chocolate- his favourite. Very discerning chocolate purchaser is our Paula, yummy.
We had a nice wander around Harrods today, I love the atmosphere of Harrods. Such fun people watching and admiring all the displays. We bought some bedding in the sale, half price. Also my bobbi brown make up and some fruit to munch on the way home. Everyone thinks Harrods is expensive but honestly its not! It does sell very expensive things but you can actually get better deals on make up, perfumes and much more than in other general stores. Plus you can get a points card and get freebies and discount days to boot.
It does amaze me the price of some items!! How the other half live eh? I once picked up some sunglasses for £2,500 ,- yes two and a half thousand pounds!! I carefully placed them back in slight shock at the price label. Then watched as the next lady picked them up and threw them down like they were in a pound shop!!!
Mohammed al fayed was there today chatting to a few customers who stopped him to say hello, we have seen him a few times. He always says hello and smiles, seems a nice man. Jj says I should go and ask him if he has thought of stocking craft items....
We visited a new venetian restaurant and had a lovely salad lunch. I was very good although did want a clotted cream scone, but Jj kept me under control!!! Was a bit naffed off at the time but grateful to him now. Must get those extra pounds off.
Got a busy week ahead lots of work to do, so must get off and have some sleep. Thank you for the lovely comments about my hair, I'm getting used to it.

Morning.

Monday morning, the sun is shining. Hairdressers,( can't do it anywhere near as well myself!) pack my bags ,off to work then on the long road to london. Need to be at the studio for 9pm at the latest.
Jj is really struggling with his back, off to physiotherapy this morning. Think he is on traction today, he has to go back next week to see the specialist to see if he needs surgery. They think its a prolapse disc but will know for sure when the results of the mri scan are back.
The long drive to london really won't help him , but he is insistent on coming. Does not like to stay home alone or be defeated by it.
Not quite the same pressure when its not my tsv so hopefully we won't be too pushed tomorrow and can pace ourselves nicely.
Got lots to do in between shows, more shows to plan and catch up with my buyer who has just come back from cha. Hopefully loaded with goodies for me to see.
J will hopefully load some photos on here today that Stephen took over the weekend at our event and there will be more later in the week from what Paula took. Some fabulous new peel offs that went down a storm, and the hot lines from craftwork cards.

And relax

Well we did it! After a very busy weekend I have now collapsed on the sofa surrounded by my four legged friends ( well just my doggie ones, goats not allowed indoors- do you know they cannot be toilet trained for their numbers twos!!!- as my mum would call them). I am having an evening off, Paula is staying all week as she has workshops with us next weekend, conveniently dog(and goat)sitting while we shoot off to london tmrw. So Paula, jj and I are all sprawled out currently watching big brother after a riveting ncis. We had a yummy kebab and burger dinner ( diet ruined!) Nice cuppa tea and collapsed.
Thank you to everyone that came to visit us, big thank you for all my cards, atcs and pressies! I will be indulging in my bottles of wine this next weekend,surrounded by beautiful flowers. You do spoil me rotten and I'm very very grateful. We all had a fabulous time and loved meeting so many off you. My team and guests did a wonderful job as always( thank you all if your reading)
Paula has taken loads of photos of cards myself and the crew were making so promise they will be on later this week.
Anyway , must get off to bed I will be on your tv screens tomorrow nite at midnite and throughout the day, so must get my beauty sleep( that's for sure)
